Hello everyone!Sorry for being so quiet of late. As well as starting a new job and working three days a week, I’ve been illustrating two children’s books for a private commission and creating as much as possible for a new venture; my partner Joseph and I can now proudly present to you all - Moth Pockets!I will keep to posting about this project minimally on here, however some of my illustrations are available as prints to buy directly from us at our stalls during craft fairs - a small range to begin with but I intend on making more in the new year. In the meantime, why not take a look at our Facebook Page and see what we’re up to…I hope you’re all having a lovely December!- N.

'Winter's Robin'

Finished piece, ready to be printed onto greetings cards.

Winter’s robin among hawthorn berries. A greetings card design in progress. Apologies for being so quiet of late, I’ve been working on handmade items for Moth Pockets; a joint craft venture between myself and my partner Joseph, as well as a private commission to illustrate two childrens stories!! Phew. I’m still managing to sneak in a few additional sketches though, hopefully this little guy will have his own greetings card in time for Christmas. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Progress so far. A stag carrying the moon, followed by night owls (they’re running a little late) keeping him company.

vellene asked: Ah, you both have the same name and if you saw a picture of her you'd see how truly shocking the resemblance is. Last I heard of her she went to study at Oxford, so I'm sorry for the mix-up. I'll follow you anyway because you seem like an interesting person regardless.

Oh, how strange! No worries and thank you. I don’t post all too regularly of late, caught up in the chaos of moving house but the illustrations are my own and more will follow. Thanks, hope you have a good weekend!

vellene asked: I think we may know each other. Did you study or live in the US for a period of time?

Afraid not! I’ve studied and lived in England my whole life. Thanks though, for the message.

mossofthewoods asked: Hello your illustrations are beautiful. Kthxbai

You’re too kind! Thank you. :) You have a wonderful Tumblr going - so many inspiring images, I couldn’t resist following you! Take care. x

Yesterday it was my housemate’s birthday. I gave him a portrait I’d been working on of the three of us that he can take with him when we all move at the end of the summer. 'Leigh, myself and Joseph.'Graphite on watercolour paper.Happy birthday Leigh!

Anonymous asked: Hi, i adore blue tits and i came across your illustration on a journey for tattoo idead. I kinda fellin love and was wondering if you would object to me using the bird you sketched as a tattoo idea to show my artist. (I know i could just do it w/o asking but im not that low to steal your art..) if no then thats alright. Thanks H.

Hello, thanks for asking first! I’m okay with that so long as you don’t make loads of alterations or claim the image to be your own in any way. If you do get it done and you’re comfortable with it, I’d love to see a photograph of the tattoo! Thanks for asking, good luck! :)

Postcard sized prints of a few of my favourite 6 x 4 illustrations!I’ll be deciding how to go about selling these once I’ve moved back to Cornwall towards the end of the summer. I expect it’ll involve secondhand mis-matching picture frames and perhaps some oval/rectangular mounts too.
